The thoughts of Veilys Reviews:

Well, where do start with a book like this one?
What a freaking-fan-dabby-dozy of a read!!!
My goodness was this good? No..Great!
I’m used to having shocking endings, I mean, that’s pretty much a given for a psychological thriller, but to have a shocking start? Now THAT is genius.
This one had me crying (yes, crying!) in the first couple of chapters. I had a 5 year old daughter whom I leave at school everyday, those who read the book will understand where I’m going with this.
The author had me gripped from the first page and that continued to the end. That alone tells you how good the writing is, all kudos here to Lucy Dawson, superb storytelling.
It was fast paced and exciting. Lots of surprises in store for the reader that will have you fidgeting in your seat whilst being totally immersed in what’s going on.
As I was reading I couldn’t sit still, couldn’t put it down and always at the back of mind was the opening couple of chapters. Even as I write this, my heart is beating fast and my throat is closing up. I can honestly say I don’t remember reading anything recently that had the power to invoke such strong emotional responses in me and have the story stay with me long after I read it.
Such a unique storyline, good characters, excellent plot development and attention to detail. The ending coupled with the beginning is a double whammy and makes for an all round awesome book! I will be, without a doubt, recommending this to everyone!
A full 5 🌟 And I’d give it more if possible.

In recognition of JUST how good this book is, I’ve decided to introduce a #VeilysTopRead #2018. And THIS book is awarded the very first one of the year. Well done Lucy, a truly magnificent read!
